Did You Lose This?
The Party Searches for Antrellus the Mad to Ask About the Ring

After learning about the ring and Antrellus the Mad, the party headed south of town to search for him.

They found a lean-to connected via a rope bridge over a chasm to a treehouse.

Lavendar and Agnees approached the lean-to and triggered a pit trap. Lavender fell to the floor of the pit while Agnees managed to leap back just in the nick of time. The party quickly dropped a rope to Lavendar, but not before a centipede emerged and attacked her. The centipede was quickly dispatched and Frankie went down to retrieve the unconscious Lavender.

When she arrived at the bottom of the pit, Frankie was attacked by a second centipede and made unconscious.

While Agnees and Ana prepared to retrieve their friends a voice called out from the tree house telling them to go away and that they couldn't trick him.

Ana attempted to talk with the tree house resident and things seemed to be going well until she triggered a trap while crossing the rope bridge. The axe on a rope struck her a blow and knocked her from the bridge into the chasm leaving her unconscious and Agnees to negotiate with what turned out to be aptly named Antrellus the Mad.

After some negotiation and conversation Antrellus the Mad asked her why she left her friends strewn unconscious outside and Agnees agreed they should retrieve them. With Antrellus's help, Agnees brought her unconscious friends into the tree house. There after a short rest they revived to see the mad, criss-crossed room with notes and string connecting thoughts and imagined conspiracies.

They had little time to consider the view before Antrellus clutched at his head and a creature of nightmares erupted from him. the tentacled squirming thing seemed to have absorbed Antrellus's brain and kept it in a translucent pocket upon its back. The party managed to defeat it though its arrival marked the end of Antrellus.

The party collected Antrellus's notes and learned of a way to lay the raven, Eronel, to rest. The party performed the ceremony and the raven haunt was no more. The next day a new raven arrived at the window of the little girl, Liriea. This raven had a single white feather in its tail and she named it Eronel, believing her beloved pet had returned.

The party now must consider its next steps with a new wrinkle, the Whisper Cult, added.

Should the party explore the ramblings of the mad man? Should they resume their search for the missing meeting leader? Head west to consult Legion? Search for the writer of the note being held by the air pirate? Or maybe something different all together?

Opportunity Taps

Leandris was a no show. The party is suspicious that perhaps he was part of the attack or that something dire may have happened to him as he didn't show at the appointed time. While waiting and debating what to do, the party befriended an Ilderan star-called named Jim. Jim attempted to brainstorm with the party on what their next action could/should be. Then went back to the Golden Flotsam to consider their options and wait for Frankie's contacts to return with any information on Leandris.

The contacts reported that Leandris arrived in Vasalian two weeks ago and that he had been staying in a boarding house down in the dock wards. As this word came rather late, they resolved to go inquire in the morning.

A little bit later some of the party thought they heard some strange tapping. Upon inspection, Lavendar located a window beyond which was an ethereal raven, which withdrew as she opened the window and attempted to summon it. When others joined her at the window a few noted a strange looking man slinking off down the hallway. But the party was intrigued by the incorporeal bird and followed it on a bit of a chase until it led them to an overgrown area, which featured a fountain and war memorial. There the raven disappeared.

Evening then caught sight of a young girl dressed all in white; walking with her head bowed and white flowers in her hand. At first glimpse the girl seemed ghost-like, but a closer inspection revealed simply a grieving girl named Lereia. She was mourning the loss of her raven, Eronel.

While the party spoke with the girl a three blood ravens manifested from the fountain and attacked. The girl fell quickly and the birds moved to assault the party. Lavender fell before the birds onslaught and then the ghost of Eronel joined in the fight on the side of the party.

The party dispatched the phantasms, administered to the fallen; and searched the fountain. Upon closer inspection they noted that the grate wasn't draining the fountain properly. Underneath the grate they found a sack containing the remains of a bird and signet ring.

The party took the girl back to her parents house to see if they recognized the signet ring. They did not. But luckily visits to a number of jewelers turned up one that recognized the ring and could identify the owner, Antrellus the Mad. Further investigation led the party to believe that Antrellus could be found outside the city in the forest living in a cabin.

An Explosive Beginning
Strangers Unite

At a meeting of starcalled in Vasalian, the party formed following a terrorist attack. During what seemed to be a meeting organized by Legion, two terrorists threw open the doors to the meeting; screamed "Down with the gods" and let loose with a volley from vaedric pistols and a fireball spell. The meeting hall was thrown into chaos as the survivors reacted to a burning building; dead and dying on the floor and the sounds of hammering on the other side of the entrance door. The elven fighter Asalarian rushed the door but found it barred and was unable to break it down, while the fire danced in the room behind her. The ranger inuzen, rushed to the aid of one of the victims and dragged the body towards the rear exit, while her calls for assistance went unanswered. One of the rogue noirs attempted to drive another survivor out the rear entrance, while the remaining noir rogue and noir cleric rushed out to intercept the attackers. Luckily, all that survived the initial attack made it to safety outside the burning meeting hall. The rogue and cleric did encounter the attackers at the side of the building, but were dropped by another volley from the vaedric pistols and some magic missiles. The remaining rogue and the organizer of the Legion meeting attacked the terrorists, his lightning bolt seemed to soften the attackers, while her arrow found a home and dropped the caster. The pistolero managed to flee, but his comrade was dispatched by the rogue, Agnees.

Forged by fire, the party went to a tavern to discuss the events and to consider their futures. While at an eclectic tavern which seems to be decorated with furniture and interiors taken from other locales, they found a letter hidden in a seat. The letter was from someone being held prisoner by a zi'Chang on an island in his hold. The party didn't know how long the letter had been there nor who zi' Chang was.

The next day the party realized they had at least three options: they could meet the Legion organizer and travel to their headquarters and be trained; they could try to learn more about this group that attacked them or they learned, they could travel to the hold of one of the most powerful Sky Dragon clans and seek out the writer of the letter signed with the symbol of a tree.
